So, as some of you may know, i am working on several armies these days... one of them being a Death Guard inspired army. When I saw the Skaven Hellpit Abomination model come out
I immediately thought of Nurgle and how that might be a good conversion for a Greater Daemon of Nurgle, so bought the model and decided to give it a go...
first up are some picts of the model in its infantcy.
Really took alot less green stuff to make it work than I thought it would.
Next up are some of the first go at painting it with the addition of wings...
Not too bad, but the more i stared at it, the less i like the look of the legs.. plus, i really don't like CSM Greater Daemons (no wings, no eternal warrior) so decided to try and cut the legs off and make him a bit smaller and closer to the Nurgle Daemon Prince model. I am now happy with it, here are some of the finished picts.
and finally here is a pict of him compared to the Nurgle Daemon Prince.

FYI the new plastic daemon prince now uses a 60mm base so a larger footprint is definitely ok. Great conversion!
wow... not much else to say. You took a nasty looking model and made it even nastier, in a good, nurgle way that is. Incredible conversion.
Awesome came out really well.
Very cool looking, but it kind of looks like roadkill... possibly a rat, or a possum...
